Jason E. Roma joined the firm in 2004, and practices primarily in the areas of products liability, premises liability, toxic tort litigation, general insurance defense, transportation law, and FELA defense.
Mr. Roma is a native of Huntington, WV, where he attended Marshall University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 1998.
Mr. Roma obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2004 from West Virginia University and graduated Order of the Barristers. While he was in law school, Mr. Roma was a member of West Virginia University College of Law’s National Moot Court team, where he competed in appellant advocacy with other law schools from across the country and argued before the Forth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Roma also competed in West Virginia University College of Law’s Baker’s Cup competition, where he was a finalist and had the opportunity to argue an appellant case before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia while still in law school.
Since law school, Mr. Roma has engaged in complex tort litigation. He has tried several cases over the years for Fortune 500 companies. He also serves as National Counsel coordinating multi-state litigation for one of the firm’s clients.
In 2011 and 2012, Mr. Roma was named a "Rising Star" in the area of products liability defense by "Super Lawyers" magazine.
Mr. Roma currently resides in Barboursville, WV with his wife Alice, who is also an attorney. They have four children (Noah, Karolina, Ethan, and Parker).
