Christopher Plybon has been engaged in the practice of law at the firm since 1983. Mr. Plybon's practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions, banking and bankruptcy.
Mr. Plybon was born in Huntington, West Virginia and lived throughout the eastern United States before returning home to commence his legal practice.
Mr. Plybon graduated, with honors, in the top five percent of his class at The Ohio State University College of Law where he was an associate justice on The Ohio State University Court. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a dual major in mathematics and psychology.
Mr. Plybon aided in the creation of a new, revised system for the sale of delinquent tax property in West Virginia. He has written and lectured on various topics in the areas of real estate, collection, corporate and bankruptcy law. Mr. Plybon has served as an adjunct faculty member at Marshall University's Community College.
Mr. Plybon has recently represented public and private entities in economic development projects throughout the tri-state area. He has also worked extensively to help clients establish efficient, affordable programs for addressing bankruptcy and collection problems.
Mr. Plybon is recognized as by West Virginia Super Lawyers and in the publication "Chambers USA" for his work in corporate and commercial law.
