PRACTICE GROUPS AND INDUSTRY AREAS

Ms. Rich has a varied litigation practice, but concentrates primarily on personal injury litigation, medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, natural resource litigation, and insurance bad faith defense. Examples of her work include:

Ms. Rich has handled personal injury claims and contractual disputes for various regional and national retailers.

She regularly represents a major utility company in a variety of matters including such things as premises liability, personal injury, occupational injury, property disputes and condemnation matters.

Ms. Rich has defended numerous coal companies in contractual disputes and has extensive experience defending allegations of blasting damage throughout West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.

She has represented clients in matters involving the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.

Ms. Rich has successfully defended numerous cases involving medical malpractice and podiatric malpractice claims.

Ms. Rich likewise has significant experience defending bad faith claims.


Ms. Rich is a native of Huntington, West Virginia, where she currently resides with her husband David and their two sons Judson and Bennett. Ms. Rich graduated summa cum laude from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in May of 1999. Ms. Rich then attended the University of Toledo College of Law on a full academic scholarship where she graduated cum laude in May of 2002.

While in law school , Ms. Rich served as the Note & Comment Editor for the University of Toledo Law Review, and served as a teaching assistant for Property courses.

Ms. Rich currently serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Dress for Success River Cities. Additionally, she serves as a community volunteer for the Huntington Museum of Art.
